My Banyan Tree

Complementing my blog, I wish to share some of the people, writings and arts which have intrigued, challenged and most of all inspired me throughout my life.

Over the years, I have been on a journey of self-discovery, looking for answers and seeking new questions. This has spanned the professional and the personal and has meant both looking inward, for answers within and reaching outward to others’ creativity. The creativeness and encouragement has come from many sources. Mankind has been around for millennia and has left a rich legacy. My selection is modest by comparison and reflects my own history, the paths I have taken and in some cases what has been purely enjoyable.

Many people and their inspirational lives and an assortment of works of science and art have shaped my thoughts and imagination. In doing so, they have shaped me. I am both delighted and grateful to have experienced such a cultural variety – some well-known, others less-so.

It is with pleasure and gratitude that I share my list and my hope that you glean both enjoyment and inspiration in works which have delighted me.

The list is not static; I shall be adding to it over the coming weeks through micro-blogging.

Watch this space!
